Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day to the Great Papa Ken! Every Dad has their different techniques. Some Dads lecture you constantly (Me). Some Dads dip on the family when things get hard. Some Dads beat lessons into their kids. My Dad was always there even though from the very beginning I was probably one of the hardest kids to raise. My dad never needed violence to teach a lesson. My dad never needed to lecture me about being a good person and doing the right thing all the time even when no one was looking. My dad was always present and taught me through his actions, his character and commitment to the things in life that truly matter. Thank you Dad.
Every dad has different styles of Dadding and though many may seem to be failures in certain areas they are still dads and deserve your respect. They are human and make mistakes but no other person in the household ( If they manage to hang around) has more influence on a family than Dad. Encourage your Dad today and thank him for teaching you how to be the person you are today. Take a moment and think about the ways He influenced or is influencing your life and the decisions you make everyday. Think about the good things and the mistakes He made and is making and how much wisdom you draw from those things everyday. If he screwed up bad, call him up and forgive him for his mistakes and thank him for teaching you so much. If he was awesome, like my Dad, then let him know because in our eyes (Dads) we all think we are screw ups in some way.
Anyways, Happy Father’s Day Dad!! Stay Awesome! Though I may do things a little differently than you did I find out everyday that you seemed to have it figured out better than me. Who knows. All we can do is try our best to be a mirror of the Big Papa in the Sky.
Dang this got long. I should probably end this sometime. Hmmmm. I thought I only rambled when I talked to my kids. Oh well.
All the Dads have an Amazing Day!!!
I got a “New” 2000 F-150 for Father’s Day. What did yall get? I would have been happy with just a hug and a ” You Da’ Man” from the kids but a truck is pretty cool too lol.
